IT Network and System Administrator (m/f/x) in Linux Environment, 20h/week, starting June/July
READ-COOP SCE is a joint initiative that emerged from the EU-funded project “READ”. As a company with the highly innovative legal form of a European Cooperative, we are working on making AI-based text recognition accessible to everyone and allowing everyone to participate in the value chain. We are looking for a talented and dedicated IT professional like you to join our team and help us take our IT infrastructure to a new level.
What you’ll do with us First and foremost, you will become part of our growing IT team and together with us:
- Plan, implement, and manage our Linux system landscape.
- Configure, manage, and optimize the performance of databases, particularly in the Postgres area.
- Maintain network components, especially from Arista and Ubiquity, and ensure smooth network operations.
- Administer storage solutions and monitor storage capacities.
- Implement and manage KVM-based virtualization solutions.
- Integrate, configure, and maintain SOLR and Elasticsearch in our IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other teams and colleagues to ensure smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
- Participate in projects aimed at continuously improving and expanding our IT infrastructure.
What you bring
- Completed education in computer science or a comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
- Excellent knowledge in the required areas
- An analytical mindset and structured approach to work
- Independent and efficient work style
- Excellent social skills
- Entrepreneurial thinking or interest in it
- Good to excellent English language skills
